Asbestos Seals
We have found Asbestos Tile under our carpeting, is there a sealant that can be put over the tile for safety?
We will be recarpeting, but think we should seal the tile.
Absolutely Do NOT try to remove it yourself!!! You must hire someone who is licensed for Asbestos Removal if you want to get rid of it. The best thing to do is just go ahead and put your carpet over it. Asbestos is not harmful unless it’s airborne… for it to become airborne, someone or something has to break it up. Do not try to sand it, or pry it up. Leave it alone, and it won’t bother you.
