Asbestos In Homes built in late 20’s in Provo Utah?

I recently bought a home in Provo Utah. I am wanting to replace the plaster walls with drywall. I was told that the plaster may contain asbestos. The first step would be asking.

Good thinking to ask; safety first. Yes it MAY contain asbestos, I found another person asking the same question. If you read through the thread you will find all kinds of opinions and answers, and EPA’s website.
