Video sends juniors to national contest
They were preschoolers when it shut down for good, but thelakefront’s Johns-Manville plant was a story waiting to be told by five Waukegan High School juniors who grew up in a city filled with The Asbestos manufacturer’s many legacies. Putting their research and effort into a 10-minute video history of the plant, they produced a local documentary worthy of competing at a national level.
