Remove Asbestos Popcorn Ceiling
asbestos danger in ceilings?
we recently sold our house. the new owner had the popcorn ceilings removed. we had left some food items in the kitchen cabinets. the new owner returned them to me later, but in hindsight I wish i had just told them to throw it all away. i’m concerned that particles or dust of asbestos may have gotten onto those foods. i didnt see anything on them, and the new owner says they didnt see any dust on the cabinets. cabinets were closed and food was closed. any danger here?
asbestos is microscopic so even if you did see dust it wouldn’t necessarily be asbestos.
if you want to be safe take anything you’re concerned abut aside and wipe it down with a wet cloth, then i would suggest tossing out the cloth. you should probably do this outside as well.
